Simple Process

Service Calls That Run on Time

We diagnose, quote, and fix in one visit whenever the parts are on the truck — and they usually are.

  1. 01

    Step 1

    Book Your Window

Book online or call. You'll get a 2-hour arrival window and a text when your technician is on the way — never a 'sometime today' window.

  2. 02

    Step 2

    Diagnose & Quote

Your technician diagnoses the issue, walks you through what they found, and gives you a flat-rate quote before any work starts. No diagnostic up-charges, no parts markup surprises.

  3. 03

    Step 3

    Fix or Install

Most repairs finish in a single visit. New installs get scheduled at your convenience and come with our 10-year parts-and-labor warranty plus a manufacturer rebate review.

Why Choose Us

Why Homeowners Switch to Us — and Stay

Five reasons True North customers don't shop around the next time their system needs attention.

  1. 01 / 05

    Flat-Rate Pricing

Diagnostic, parts, labor — all quoted as one fixed number before we turn a screw. The number on the quote is the number on your invoice.

  2. 02 / 05

    10-Year Parts & Labor

Every install includes a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty backed in writing. If a covered failure happens, parts and labor are both on us.

  3. 03 / 05

    On-Time Guarantee

Show up late? The trip charge is on us. We schedule realistically because your day shouldn't bend around our routing.

  4. 04 / 05

    Certified Technicians

Our technicians are NATE-certified, EPA 608 universal, and carry full liability coverage. The cards are on every truck.

  5. 05 / 05

    Rebates We File for You

We pull every available manufacturer rebate, utility incentive, and tax credit on your behalf. Most installs net a customer $1,000+ in incentives.

Customers Who Call Us Back

1,500+ five-star reviews and a referral rate higher than any marketing campaign could buy.

  1. Furnace died at 11 PM in January. They had a tech at the door before 8 AM and a new system installed by 3 PM the next day. Quoted price held — no upsells.

  2. I asked five companies for AC quotes. True North's was the only one that broke down equipment vs. labor, included permits, and didn't push the most expensive system in the catalog. Easy choice.

  3. I rent out two duplexes. True North handles all four units. They text me when work starts, send pictures of what they did, and the invoice always matches the quote. Set-and-forget.

About Us

Why We Started — and Why It Still Matters

True North HVAC started in 2012 when our founder, Anika Schroeder, finished her apprenticeship and realized the local HVAC scene was full of two kinds of shops: chains that moved fast and overcharged, and one-truck operators that were honest but couldn't show up on time. She wanted a third option — fast, certified, and accountable to a written quote.

Fourteen years later, we are 22 NATE-certified technicians across the metro. Every truck is fully stocked, every quote is flat-rate, and every install is backed by a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty. The promise hasn't changed: we show up when we say, we charge what we quote, and we stand behind the work.

FAQ

Common Questions

If your question isn't here, ask — we will give you a straight answer over the phone.

Q.01

Do you charge for the diagnostic visit?

We charge a flat $89 diagnostic fee that we waive if you proceed with the repair. The fee covers the truck, the technician's time, and a written diagnosis — never an open-ended hourly clock.
Q.02

Is your pricing really flat-rate?

Yes. The number on your quote is the number on your invoice. If we run into something unexpected mid-job, we stop work, explain it, and only proceed after you approve a revised quote in writing.
Q.03

How quickly can you come out?

Most repairs are done same-day. New equipment installs are usually scheduled within 5-7 days. Emergency no-heat or no-cool calls get same-day priority year-round.
Q.04

What does the 10-year warranty cover?

Every install includes a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty in writing. Covered failures mean we pay for both the part and the trip. The warranty is transferable to the next homeowner if you sell.
Q.05

Do you offer financing?

Almost always — we have agreements with several lenders that offer 0% financing for 12-24 months on qualifying installs. Longer-term financing is available for full system replacements.
Q.06

Are your techs licensed and certified?

Yes. Every technician carries an active state license, EPA 608 universal certification, and is NATE-certified. We carry $2M general liability and workers' comp; we will email you a certificate before service.

Comfort Notes from the Field

Practical write-ups from our techs and project managers — useful whether you call us or not.

  1. What an Honest HVAC Tune-Up Actually Includes

An annual tune-up costs about $129 and adds 3-5 years to most systems. Here's what a real tune-up includes and why most one-page checklists skip the parts that matter.

  2. Smart Thermostats: The Real ROI

A smart thermostat saves an average household 8-15% on heating and cooling bills. The savings depend on your schedule, your insulation, and which model you choose.

  3. Repair or Replace? A 60-Second Framework

If your system is over 12 years old and the repair is more than half the cost of replacement, replace. We walk through the math case-by-case below.

Same-day service in most cases, flat-rate pricing always, and a 10-year warranty on every install. Book a window — we'll keep it.
